Is VertiCast only for vertical microdramas?

Yes - it’s built specially for the fast-growing Vertical space — but casting may use it for other short-form and digital projects too.

How does casting work on VertiCast?

Casting professionals search, swipe, and add Actors to lists — then message directly. There are no submissions. If they like you, they reach out by DM in the app.

Getting Started

What do I need to create a profile?

• Headshots / photos
• A Vertical Reel / Clips
• And fill out some other profile info including credits

What type of reel should I upload?

VertiCast is built for the Vertical microdrama industry, so only Vertical (9:16) clips can be uploaded — please only use scenes from vertical dramas or content that matches that style.

Why isn’t my profile visible?

Your profile must be launched to appear in casting searches. Make sure you’ve completed all required fields & subscribed.

Getting Seen & Booked

How do I get seen by casting?

Once your profile is launched, you will appear in the Actor stack for Casting to search. Casting can either view and swipe all actors available, or search by key criteria & availability, so make sure you login regularly to keep your profile, dates, and media updated.

Can I see audition listings and submit myself?

No. There are no overwhelming listings or time-consuming submission processes on VertiCast. You’ve already done the hard work by training, working and getting your photos and videos up. Let casting come to you if you’re right for the job, and focus on what you do best - acting, not admin.

I’m not getting messages — what should I do?

• Upgrade your main reel (vertical, high-quality)
• Add more video clips
• Refresh your headshots
• Make sure your type is clear
• Update your availability regularly
• Promote your profile on socials using the Share button
• Stay active - casting moves fast and is consistently needing new Actors!

What is the VertiCast Hotlist?

A live leaderboard showing Actors getting the most attention (views, swipes, faves, trusts, lists, job offers) on VertiCast. It’s social proof for casting.

Messaging & Connections

Can I message casting first?

No. VertiCast is discovery-led. Casting reaches out to you. You are the talent.

Do I need an agent to use VertiCast?

No. Casting can connect directly with you through the app DMs, just like instagram. If you do have an agent though, you should loop them into the conversation as quickly as possible, or have them manage your incoming DMs on VertiCast through the Agent connect function.

Can I message other Actors on VertiCast?

Yes! The Vertical industry is super-collaborative so we encourage you to reach out to each other to support, share advice, bring each other in on jobs, and share good news. Please keep your interactions kind, supportive and genuine. It’s a small, big industry :)

Casting on VertiCast

Can I cast projects on VertiCast?

Yes. Casting Directors, Producers, Showrunners and Directors can search, shortlist, and DM talent directly. Agents can also use the platform to talent scout for their roster. Exactly what’s already happening on Instagram & Tiktok… but without the noise.

Pricing & Availability

How much does VertiCast cost?

VertiCast is $14.99 a month in the USA and a similar band in other countries for an Actor subscription. You can cancel any time.

Is VertiCast available worldwide?

Yes — but opportunities may vary by region. Make sure your location is accurate.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

All subscriptions are handled by the App Store you used to sign up. Use your device’s main Subscriptions menu to cancel or request refunds.

Safety & Trust

Is VertiCast safe?

VertiCast is built by an experienced & trusted industry team in Hollywood. However, due to the fast-paced international nature of Vertical production and Casting, VertiCast does not verify every user. Always do your own due diligence:

• Research the person, company and opportunity fully
• Speak to your agent, manager, lawyer, union
• Never pay to audition, or send money
• Ask for references and check credits
• Ask your industry friends for advice
• If it feels too good to be true, it probably is.

VertiCast does not participate in, endorse, or manage any casting decisions or hiring processes.

VertiCast aims to connect you with Casting quicker, but please take precautions like you would with Instagram or Tinder. Safety first, always.

Is VertiCast a legitimate service?

VertiCast complies with applicable talent listing service laws and maintains any required bonds.

VertiCast is a talent listing and discovery platform. We do not act as a talent agent, manager, or employment agency, and we do not procure employment on behalf of actors.

Your subscription provides access to the platform and its features. VertiCast does not guarantee that you will receive auditions, bookings, or income.

Account & Technical

I can’t log in — what should I do?

• Check you have entered the correct email and password.
• Use the Forgotten password button
• Update the app and try again
• Check your internet connection or try switching between WiFi & mobile data.
• Contact support

My video won’t upload or display.

Videos must complete processing before they display. Our server transcodes content for mobile optimization. If your video does not appear after 5 minutes, ensure it was recorded vertically (9:16) and is under 400MB.

The app is crashing or not working properly.

Please check the App store to download the latest version. If you already have the current version, delete the app and download again. If it still doesn’t work, please contact support.

How do I delete my account?

Deleting the App will not cancel your subscription or delete your account. Please cancel your subscription on your device’s Subscriptions menu, then contact support to delete your account and information. On the ‘My Account’ screen there is a delete account button at the bottom.
