VertiCast is a professional casting platform designed for adults and emancipated working professionals within the entertainment industry. Due to strict data privacy laws (such as COPPA) and App Store guidelines regarding User-Generated Content (UGC), VertiCast mandates that all users must be at least 18 years of age to create an account, or 16 years of age with explicit, legally-binding parental consent.
User-Generated Content (UGC)
Because VertiCast allows users to freely upload video reels, headshots, and unstructured bio data, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of mature themes typically found within cinematic productions (e.g., violence, profanity, or mature situations within an actor's reel).
To ensure a safe environment:
- Users have access to robust blocking and reporting tools.
- Content that violates our community guidelines (including pornography, harassment, or illegal material) is strictly prohibited and actively monitored.
- Users engaging in abusive behavior will face permanent IP and device bans.
Direct Messaging Integrity
Casting interactions are securely routed through VertiCast. To protect younger professionals from bad actors, users under 18 must be managed by a talent agency or legal guardian. Direct peer-to-peer messaging is unfiltered to simulate professional email communications, reinforcing the requirement for users to be legal adults capable of managing their own professional affairs.
